This is a VERY brief introduction to some of our favorite herbs. These make up all of our original tea blends as they are gentle, easy to use, and best of all they look and taste delightful.
Chamomile
Traditionally used to promote relaxation, ease milddigestive discomfort, and support sleep. Someresearch suggests it may modestly help with anxietyand menstrual discomfort, but it can interact withblood thinners and may trigger reactions in peopleallergic to ragweed-family plants.
Mint
Peppermint and spearmint can feel cooling and mayhelp relieve occasional gas, bloating, nausea, andindigestion. Peppermint may worsen heartburn orreflux in some people.
Lavender
Traditionally used to encourage relaxation and reduceeveryday tension. Its strongest evidence is associatedwith aromatherapy and concentrated preparations;lavender tea is milder and should be viewed as agentle calming beverage.
Hibiscus
Rich in colorful polyphenols and naturally tart, hibiscus tea may support cardiovascular health andmodestly lower blood pressure in some adults. Peoplewith low blood pressure or those taking blood-pressure medication should use it cautiously.
Raspberry Leaf
Traditionally used as a mineral-containing women’sherb and for menstrual or pregnancy-related teablends. Evidence for menstrual benefits is limited, andpregnancy use—especially early pregnancy—shouldbe discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
Lemon Balm
Traditionally used for mild nervous tension, restlessness, and digestive discomfort. Small studiessuggest it may support calmness and sleep, but itshould not replace care for significant anxiety orinsomnia.
Rose Petals
Provide a delicate floral flavor and antioxidantcompounds, and are traditionally used in soothing,mood-focused teas. Human evidence for specificmedicinal effects is limited, so their main benefits intea are sensory, hydrating, and gently relaxing.
Butterfly Pea Flower
Provides anthocyanin antioxidants and its vivid bluecolor; lemon juice changes the tea to violet-purplebecause of its natural pH response. Research onmeaningful health effects from ordinary tea servingsis still limited, so it is best presented as a beautifulantioxidant-rich botanical rather than a treatment.
Stevia
Whole stevia leaves provide sweetness with very fewcalories and can reduce the need for added sugar.Concentrated steviol glycosides are better studiedthan brewed leaves; people taking blood-pressure orblood-sugar medication should avoid large amountswithout professional guidance.
